kpx001 Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 ok basiclly i need to create an adjusting screw (M10x1.5). i've created everything but this hex socket part whichs needs to be flat to flat 10 and a depth of 9. the thing is i dont understand where to input M10x1.5 and flat to flat and depth or where to select to get a hexagon type hole. this is what i have so far. in the picture the hex socket is wrong though cuz i used poly and extrude cut it but its supose to sorta look like this. img403.imageshack.us/i/screws.jpg/ Quote
JD Mather Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 ...thing is i dont understand where to input M10x1.5 Do you need a cut thread or will a cosmetic thread suffice? Cut use Sweep tool. Cosmetic use Thread tool. Can't see your image for the hex cut, but that should be trivial. Zip and attach your ipt file here. Have you gone through the tutorials in my signature? Quote
kpx001 Posted July 6, 2009 Author Posted July 6, 2009 ok i attached a zip of the picture and what i have done so far. i have no idea about the cut. screwdia.zip Quote
JD Mather Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 Sketch1 is unconstrained and missing two diameter dimensions. Sketch3 has sick (pink) geometry (don't need that circle) missing 10mm side to side dimension and horizontal or vertical constraint. You might want to read this document. http://home.pct.edu/~jmather/AU2007/MA105-1L%20Mather.pdf Quote
kinglevel Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 you could use the content center and just place an M10x1,5 screw and modify it? Quote
