grouch19 Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 I have been having Windows Explorer freeze for between 30 seconds and 2 mins since installing Autocad map 2010. It happens when i try to open any file in windows explorer. The current explorer window freezes and say not responding. It also happens if i CTRL-C or right click on a file and when i double click a file on my desktop. Even non Autocad files like a 2kb txt file. While explorer is frozen i can actually open another window or keep using any open programs which is odd. Has anyone else had this issue or heard of a possible fix for it? Cheers Quote
Tankman Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 Sounds like a PC problem or, more specifically a need for more memory. In addition to memory, I would do a complete virus scan, defrag, clean up files (disk cleanup). What OS are you using? I've not had a problem using MS XP Pro SP3. Quote
grouch19 Posted July 7, 2009 Author Posted July 7, 2009 yeah im using XP Pro SP3. I have defragged, scanned for virus's and spyware, ran chkdsk and disk cleanup a couple times as well as CCLEANER. The machine has 4 gig of ram Its just odd how its only started happening since installing Map 2010 Cheers anyway Tankman Quote
