morning all, i am very new to AutoCAD and I am looking at rotating a drawing, can anyone help.

I just made a right click, and hit rotate but only 1 dwg rotated itself and ended upside down and had moved it's position.

 

hmmmm

 

any body have the time to help?

Firstly, Welcome to the forums.

 

When rotating a drawing the first thing you have to do is select all the items that you wish to rotate.

The second thing is to specify a base point.(this will be the point that the drawing will be rotated around.)

The 3rd point is to enter the required angle. But please note that the specified angle will rotate anti-clockwise as default. If you wish to rotate the drawing in the opposite direction you have to add the subtract sign to rotate clockwise.

Select the rotate command> select objects>select base point of rotation> enter the angle you wish to rotate to (-90 ccw 90 cw)>enter.
