mr_mojo_risin Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 Apologies if this has been asked before, but is there any way I can create a circular viewport in AutoCAD 2008 LT. Thanks:) Quote
ReMark Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 In full AutoCAD you can use the MVIEW command to create nonrectangular viewports. Is there such a command in LT? Quote
mr_mojo_risin Posted July 9, 2009 Author Posted July 9, 2009 There is an MVIEW command, but the options are [ON/OFF/Fit/Shadeplot/Lock/Restore/LAyer/2/3/4]. Quote
bonehead411 Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 I came across this somewhere some time back, been using it ever since. Very useful. Viewports.dwg Quote
SEANT Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 There is an MVIEW command, but the options are [ON/OFF/Fit/Shadeplot/Lock/Restore/LAyer/2/3/4]. That is odd. Try typing o at the command prompt anyway. Quote
ReMark Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 Here's an option. In paper space draw a circle. Then click on Modify > Object > Viewport and follow the prompts. Does that work? Quote
StevenMc Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 i dont know if this is only in 2009 but in my layers toolbar i have a button to change object in paperspace to viewport? Quote
Stela_Tech Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 I have that command in 2008 full. If you bring up the viewport toolbar and go in paperspace, you can draw a circle and use that command from the tool bar (Convert Object to Viewport). But again,I have the full versionso you would have to check. Quote
Ryder76 Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 There is an MVIEW command, but the options are [ON/OFF/Fit/Shadeplot/Lock/Restore/LAyer/2/3/4]. I have 2009 FULL and it says [ON/OFF/Fit/Shadeplot/Lock/Object/Polygonal/Restore/LAyer/2/3/4] So...I guess the OP doesn't have those options in LT. Quote
StevenMc Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 there was a thread about this before. it was started by dipali.. some good and similar answers in there check below Quote
JoeC Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 In Acad 2008, there is another option. Like ReMark said, draw your circle in paper space. Then go to view > viewports > object, and select your circle. I dont know if this works in 2002. Quote
