Laurel Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 Hi This picture shows an assembly I have created. It is constrained so that the handle (and attached gear) are allowed to freely rotate within the bracket. I am about to create a drawing of the assembly, but first want to align the handle so that it aligns with the Y axis (straight up and down.) What is the easiest way to do this accurately? Quote
MarkFlayler Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 Create an Angle constraint with the Origin Planes of two components in your assembly. (You might have to expand them in your browser). You can also then right click on the angle constraint and drive it to show rotational movement in a video. Quote
Laurel Posted July 10, 2009 Author Posted July 10, 2009 Thanks for the info, Mark. That was a basic problem, but in my defence, I've only been using Inventor for about five weeks, and this sort of thing is not second nature yet! Thanks again. Quote
