Up until recently I was using 2006 and plotting to pdf with Distiller 5.0- no problems, everything was fine. When I upgraded to 2008, the pdf conversion started to get wonky- I started wondering if my Distiller version was just too out-of-date to work anymore.

I can plot using the DWG to PDF feature but am limited to using the free Adobe Reader 9 to open these and I don't have access to all of the features I'm used to...even the simple ones like inserting pages.

Anybody use another pdf program with a decent set of features (security, editing, etc...) that doesn't cost large amounts of cash?

We use Fineprint pdffactory. It doesn't have a bunch of features, but it has been very dependable through our upgrades from Acad 2000 - 2008.

You can use their trial version for free, but it prints a trial version stamp on the bottom of the doc. Its about $50 to purchase.
