PhysicsCAD Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 Just opened AutoCAD 2009 for the first time yesterday. I have used only SolidWorks and find AutoCAD confusing. I need to make a homogeneous array of micron-sized rectangular holes. I want this array to be about 5x5 mm2. Can someone give me simple instructions on how to complete this? Quote
ReMark Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 You might want to take a look at the ARRAY command. Quote
rkent Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 Use the rectangle command, follow the prompts at the command line. Then use Array command, should be fairly intuitive. Quote
Patrick Hughes Posted July 12, 2009 Posted July 12, 2009 One other option is to use Minsert (Multiple Insert) to insert a previously created block into an array which is then treated as a single entity, however a Minsert cannot be modified or exploded. Quote
