Ryder76 Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 Have you read the help files on "Use AutoLISP Application" ? It is very informative. What do you already know about LISP routines? Quote

StevenMc Posted July 14, 2009 Author Posted July 14, 2009 Thanks, I feel honoured you've done some great LISP files. very good at what you do for the forum..well done. its a great help for someone like me with not so much experience. just curious if it is possible to do a LISP similar to the Attribute one, except its not attributes for example just text and objects? -Steven Quote

Thanks Steven, I'm still learning a lot myself just curious if it is possible to do a LISP similar to the Attribute one, except its not attributes for example just text and objects? Yes, this is possible - certainly very easy to manipulate for blocks and Text Objects, but maybe not so easy for other objects, as I would need to add a base-point prompt, and add a lot more coding. But leave it with me, and I'll see if I get some time Lee Quote

Ryder76 Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 LeeMac is a great lisp guy, and yes he is very kind to do so many lisp routines for the folks here. Who's your Daddy? Lee Mac:lol: Quote

Who's your Daddy? Lee Mac:lol: Thanks guys (and girls), your compliments are appreciated I learn a great deal when making the LISP routines, so if it can benefit you lot in the process, then its a win win situation. I would love to do it as a job, and actually get paid to write programs; but being a LISP programmer is such a specialist job that positions are incredibly difficult to come by... As it is, I have just finished my first year at uni, and, now that I am home for the next 3 months, I'm desperately searching for a job - but with the current economic climate in the UK, every company says they are not recruiting any time soon... But thanks for your kind words, Lee Quote
Ryder76 Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 Good luck with your job search. It seems to be tough everywhere these days. Maybe a bartending job or exotic dancing - heard the pay is good. Quote

Lee Mac Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 Steve, I had a little time, so I tried to engineer the Attribute Modification Suite to work with Text Objects also, I wasn't sure whether to filter the selection to only those text objects with the same string, (like the attributes with the same tag), so I didn't, let me know of any bugs etc Attribute-Text Modification Suite V6.lsp Quote

Lee Mac Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 Yeah, as I mentioned, I wasn't sure whether to filter it for the textstring or not, but if you want, I can. Quote
StevenMc Posted July 17, 2009 Author Posted July 17, 2009 that would be great. are you sure you dont mind you're very helpful Lee! Quote
Lee Mac Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 I have updated the code attached above to include the changes. Bear in mind it is case-sensitive Quote
