Kremer Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 Good Morning, I've utilized the search function and it erks me to post a topic which has been answered repeatedly however I couldn't find any occurrences in which the text was in dimension form. (The text in red/green circles have identical properties [except for XY location and content]) I've tried flatten command with luck sometimes but these aren't affected by it. I'd heard it was the Z-coordinate but I can't find the input in the dim dialogue box. Any help is MUCH appreciated Quote
GE13579 Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 What happens if you change text colour? Do you get the same in a plot preview? You have Leaders in the green box and Dimensions in the red box- what happens if you try copying the dim above at 4-1/2"? Quote
Zorg Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 change it in your dim style manager then do a dim update across your drawing. Quote
skipsophrenic Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 Try resetting their Z values to 0, it may appear that in properties, but they could have a z property of something a small as 0.0000000001 which will make them appear to be bold. Quote
GE13579 Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 Already looked up that Skips- no Z value in the properties. If you're sure that'll be the case you could MOVE- #0,0,0 then move again back to the object, if that makes any sense??? Quote
Kremer Posted July 16, 2009 Author Posted July 16, 2009 Hmmm even moving them to 0,0,0 still left them bold, even after exploding the dims and opening the properties of the Mtext they still said they were at 0" in the Z. However I think I may have discovered my error, after opening the file this morning and finding all the text to be bold I copied everything and put it in a new drawing, this brought about 90% of the dims back to non-bold. After checkin the properties the ones that still exhibited the bold seemed to have their Associative option as No. I'm not even sure how you alter that option as it can't be done from the properties dialogue, so in the end I just made new dims and the bold is gone. =D P.s. Thank you guys alot, I'd as good as given up before comin back to this page. The boss'll be happy Quote
GE13579 Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 Glad you got sorted! For association; OPTIONS- USER PREFERENCES- or DIMASSOC variable Quote
