BillB Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 Hi Again Guys, O.k.,,, maybe again I am missing the boat on something. I want to design a simple plate for a square mounted bearing,,, simple. I realize I can't design the plate in an Assembly and reference the bearing so I can add the threaded mounting holes and have them show up (added) to the Plate component. So my question is,,,,, how does one go about "referencing" a part (purchased or in house designed) so it can be used to place clearance holes, threaded holes, features, etc on the component that one is designing so those "features" will show on the original component. Sorry if there's any confusion on this, kind of hard to explain in text form. As stated before,, I have only been using Inventor 2009 pro for about 3-4 weeks. Thanks in advance for your all your help. BillB Quote
