hoopa74 Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 Every time I try to move a line or object with my crosshair it stays stationary and a cursor arrow with a rectangle underneath it appears!!! How do I fix this back so I can drag and drop with the crosshair? It's really aggravating!! Thanks! Quote
ReMark Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 When did this first occur? Did you load any custom LISP files? Quote
hoopa74 Posted July 17, 2009 Author Posted July 17, 2009 I think it was after I loaded solidworks on my computer but Im not quite sure of an exact time it was recently, and I did not load any custom LISP files. Quote
ReMark Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 Your cursor change is only seen in AutoCAD and no other program? Quote
hoopa74 Posted July 17, 2009 Author Posted July 17, 2009 I tried changing PICKFIRST and that didnt work...From reading though its almost like i was going to build a pallete because the cursor will stay at the point I click my mouse and an arrow with a box underneath will pop up as I try to drag Quote
hoopa74 Posted July 17, 2009 Author Posted July 17, 2009 I just didnt know if there was a setting or not that might have gotten turned off..?? Quote

hoopa74 Posted July 17, 2009 Author Posted July 17, 2009 Under options it "the current system pointing device is selected"....what should I check in mouse properties? Quote
bonehead411 Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 Drag & Drop you say? What method are you using to move the objects? The cursor arrow with rectangle appears when you select your objects first, then click and hold the right mouse button to move them. Upon release you are given a small pop up menu with move/copy/paste as block/exit options. If you do the same but use the left button, you dont get the pop up menu options. Both of the above only work if you are not clicking directly on a grip, and the crosshair disappears during the action and returns once the command is complete (at least mine always has). The more conventional AutoCAD MOVE command requires the identification of two points to complete the command, a FROM - TO if you will, rather than just a drag and drop. Quote
