Posted this on the Autodesk forum but didn't get any response. Maybe I can get some info here, thanks in advance!

 

Having a problem I cannot find a solution for. If you have a table and you type in letters with descenders (p,y,j etc.) the text jumps up if aligned "middle center" which is a common alignment for cad users in tables. It's grips change, to the highest and lowest points or ascenders and descenders. Is there a way around that besides just using capital letters which many do? I really want to align to the baseline (middle center) and not to the exterior points of the entire text, just the exterior points to the lowercase text.

could you do it with single line text? maybe try single line text centred, then move the centre point to the mid point of the area you want it in?
