Can anyone suggest a method--Other than purchasing Autocad 2008!!!!

With Helix.lsp and the dozen or so threads you'll find here asking the same question you should have no problem. You can also visit JD Mather's website for a tutorial or look up Ellen Finkelstein's excellent tutorial regarding constructing a 3D threaded screw.

Also take a look at the bottom of this page for Similar Threads. Make use of the Search feature at the top of the page too.

Hello Mark---Both the Mather and Finkelstein links are for versions later than mine!!!

Have loaded Helix.lsp, but when I try to extrude a thread form along the helical path it rotates around the path---seems to be more suited to creating spring drawings.

OK. What about Southworth's tutorial?

Hello Mark---The Southworth method looks promising---will investigate further in the morning---Good night and thank you

One of the best and simpliest methods I've ever seen for threads!

Thanks ReMark!

You're entirely welcomed. Glad to hear you found something that would work with 2006.
