Ubrigens Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 Can anyone suggest a method--Other than purchasing Autocad 2008!!!! Quote
ReMark Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 With Helix.lsp and the dozen or so threads you'll find here asking the same question you should have no problem. You can also visit JD Mather's website for a tutorial or look up Ellen Finkelstein's excellent tutorial regarding constructing a 3D threaded screw. Quote
ReMark Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 Also take a look at the bottom of this page for Similar Threads. Make use of the Search feature at the top of the page too. Quote

Ubrigens Posted July 21, 2009 Author Posted July 21, 2009 Hello Mark---Both the Mather and Finkelstein links are for versions later than mine!!! Have loaded Helix.lsp, but when I try to extrude a thread form along the helical path it rotates around the path---seems to be more suited to creating spring drawings. Quote
Ubrigens Posted July 21, 2009 Author Posted July 21, 2009 Hello Mark---The Southworth method looks promising---will investigate further in the morning---Good night and thank you Quote
ReMark Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 3D thread lisp routine included in this post. Check it out. Originally written for use in AutoCAD releases 13 and 14 so it should work in 2006. At least I hope it would. http://www.cadtutor.net/forum/showthread.php?t=2288 You're entirely welcome. Let us know how things turn out. Quote
