MothBox Posted July 25, 2009 Posted July 25, 2009 I have a 3D survey plan in CAD (see attached pic) but because it is based on survey lines there is nothing between them and therefore creates a semi-transparent view. What I want is for there to be 3D prospective with a white overlay - prefrabley shaded so that it is a representation of the true prospective view. Is this possible? Quote
ReMark Posted July 25, 2009 Posted July 25, 2009 You want to see the contour map shaded? Have you tried using the 3D workspace and shade mode? Quote
MothBox Posted July 25, 2009 Author Posted July 25, 2009 I've tried that but it doesn't work. I think this is because the contours have gaps between them and therefore act as individual lines? I was hoping I would be able to overly something over the top like a blank square of a general colour which would drape over the top and produce shadows etc. Quote
Cad64 Posted July 25, 2009 Posted July 25, 2009 You could try to LOFT those contour lines, but I think Autocad will probably crash trying to compute all of those contours. Autocad is not really the right program for this type of work. I think Civil 3D would be much more appropriate. Quote
