feargt Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 Hi, We have an issue here that I have not seen before. For a general project layout drawing, we are using an xref with Ortho photos as out background. The problem is that some of the Photos in the xref are showing up distorted. (photos are .TIF files). If I open the xref drawing itself then it is fine again. If I unload the xref and then reload it, everything displays fine too. But it is a massive background, it takes too long if i have to that each time. I don't have a screenshot of the problem just yet. But as soon as it happens again I will post it. This distortion that occurs on screen is also in the plots. The distortion that occurs is like a small portion of the photo is copied to another area of the photo and scaled up. It's like the photo appears with a portion called up as a detail overlapping the original photo. I don't have a screenshot of the problem just yet. But as soon as it happens again I will post it. Any ideas or comments? Quote

Shiloh Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 Have you tried saving the file as a .jpg or .bmp and inserting it? Quote
feargt Posted August 4, 2009 Author Posted August 4, 2009 Hi, The tif files are actually georeferenced, meaning if I save the Tif as a jpg, I'll lose the reference when inserting. There are maybe 15 images. I know I could make a grid over what I have at the moment and then insert all the jpgs correctly. But this seems like a lot of work as the Tif files are quite large, (each 75mb) so would be time consuming creating the jpgs. If this is the only option, then it will have to be done. But it would be better to actually know what is causing the issue itself. Quote
