rochblue Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 Hi, is it possible to change a 'flat' drawing into an isometric type of drawing? I currently have an end view of an item that I need to draw in isometric, but it's fairly detailed with curves etc and will take a long time to draw again from scratch in isometric... Is there a command to help me do this? Thanks in advance. Quote

Download, save on your harddrive, drag and drop onto the drawing, type isoviews, experiment with it from there. ISOVIEWS.lsp Quote
rochblue Posted August 4, 2009 Author Posted August 4, 2009 Fantastic, just what I needed, thanks. Quote
Strix Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 Don't forget that if you're supposed to be doing this for college homework, your tutor can interrogate your file to ensure you actually produced the end product by a 'valid' method  Quote
gblaylock Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 You could display it in paper space, using a viewport which has been configured to display in SE Isometric, but I'm not sure if your software has a 3D rotation to move it from laying down on the "top" plan to a "frontal" plane. Doing this way will keep all of your dimensions, but display them as isometric. Quote
rochblue Posted August 6, 2009 Author Posted August 6, 2009 Thanks, I didn't realise you could do that with the viewports, never really played with them and only use them on templates, but I have worked it out from your description. I'm sure it will come in handy! Quote
