pvd Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 Hi all, I need to make some images of a model to show. And the only way I know to do so is "Save copy as" and then I convert it to a jpeg. But that way I still have these note-signs in my image. Is there a way to turn them off or even a better way to make nice rendering images? Thanks Quote
JD Mather Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 Tools>Application Options on the Notebook tab there is a checkbox for Display...>Note Icons. Uncheck or Use Render instead of Save Copy As. Quote
pvd Posted August 6, 2009 Author Posted August 6, 2009 Thanks JD, the note-signs are gone now. Is rendering a separate part from Inventor? As all my icons from the Inventor Studio Panel are gray and not selectable. Quote

I ran into something similar when I had multiple releases of Inventor installed. I had to go through a rather detailed clean un-install procedure and then re-install to get Studio to work again. pvd Posted August 6, 2009 Author Posted August 6, 2009 I've upgrated from Inventor 2009 so yes, maybe something went wrong there. I'll try to uninstall the whole chebang then. Good to hear though it's something standard. Very curious to see what it has to offer... Quote
JD Mather Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 I'll try to uninstall the whole chebang then. ... Be sure to find the Clean Uninstall instructions on the Autodesk website (search Google). You have to edit the Registry - be careful. You will also want to download free Windows Install Clean Up and run before re-installing Inventor. Don't blame me if you totally screw things up. This was an all day affair for me to fix up my machine. Quote
pvd Posted August 7, 2009 Author Posted August 7, 2009 Thanks again JD, not gonna blame you but I do hope I 'll find you back here once I've messed up the whole system here...keep you posted... Quote
pvd Posted August 7, 2009 Author Posted August 7, 2009 As I'm not into the rendering thing yet, the image quality when I do a "save copy as" to choose a jpeg, I think the quality is rather poor, as skewed lines for example are very "fragmented". Is there a way to improve this? Quote
Laurel Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 I made a suggestion, but have edited out as it wasn't a very good one. Sorry. Quote
