charlie72 Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 I’m having trouble installing some hatch patterns (which I found on the interent) onto my computer. I’ve located the acad file under support in autoad and what I gather that I need to do next is copy the actual text of these new patterns on to the acad file and give it a new name to keep the old standard patterns separate. However when I add the pattern to the end of the acad file and give it a new name it changes to a notepad document and not a pat file. I then tried adding the pattern to acad file without changing the name and yet I don’t seem to find my pattern in the hatch dialogue box. I restarted the computer also. I would have assumed that it would have been fairly straight forward to install new hatch patterns but this is beyond what I had imaged. I wouldn’t dream of even creating a new hatch. There seems to be too much involved for what is achieved. I’ve been working on this for a few hours and ploughed my way through most of whats available here but its got me this time. Any advice please. Using Autocad 2007 Quote
