Hi all,

I just had a severe crash in my iam model and now it seems I can't open it anymore or all other iam's that where in it. All together I'm talking about hundreds of parts. What I do now? (help)

It seems even that all my links are gone and I can't resolve them anymore.

Strange, have a word with the IT guy and ask to restore the folder back to a date that did work or search for old old versions as Inventor saves a back up to that folder for all projects.

lazer, does Inventor do this automatically? I was under the impression it had to be setup first.

Yes mate, you go to the folder where all the part files and assembly files are there is another folder that Inventor woll set up call old version.

Every time you save it will keep the old revision in that folder, if loose your work (so some strange reason) then you can go back into that folder and carry on 1 revision back.

Thanks guys,

I asked the IT-man where I could find a copy of my inventor folder and now I've only lost a couple of hours work, which turns my face back from green to normal uhum. About the Oldversions folder, Inthere I found my files but they have all numbers at the end. I tried to open my assembly with the highest number, but then Inventor starts asking about all parts in it and then I suppose I have to get these parts with the same number at the end? As I couldn't find same numbers I choose not to go this way.
