donbosco Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 hi i used cad versions 2002,4,5 in my earlier jobs sparingly. Now i have work where my primary job is cad work. we have cad mechanical-2008 version. my primary work is electrical so i donet deal with much complicated drawings. i will have many more questions in future but for today I want to know this- when i click (left) on one object its selected. Now when I just left click on other object i want first one to be deselected, how do i do this or what setting is it? i was so used to this thing in past so never noticed it. Thanks! Quote
Sneblot Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 if you hit Esc key before you left click on the second item then the first item will be deselected. Apart from that Im not sure if you can change a setting in AutoCAD. Hope that helps. Quote
Danse_Macabre Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 Also, if you have multiple items selected, if you use SHIFT+Click it deselects that item from your selection. Took me a while to figure that one out, and boy is it handy. Quote
Denny Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 If your in command you use the add/remove command during selection which is like transparent commands but without the apostrophe. Quote
