ray jones Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 Hello, I am looking for an accurate dwg to pdf converter. I have ANY DWG to PDF Converter, but it is not accurate or consistant. I am using an auto cad 2004 version Any advise? Thanks, Ray Quote
CADMASTER1128 Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 AutoCAD 2004 there is no DWg to PDF "printer installed. What I did is install CutePDF. Works nice and is free. This works in all applications like MS Office word. See the attached link. CutePDf Writer - Free Download Quote

CutePDf Writer - Free Download heck yeah, i started using this after getting tired of dealing with acrobat 6.0 at work. we'll upgrade cad every version, but we have to use a 10 year old version of acrobat. ray jones Posted August 14, 2009 Author Posted August 14, 2009 Hello, I have down loaded the cutepdf writer. It is easy & appears to be accurate. I need to print architectual drawings in black & white. I have made the setting change from color to black & white. But I find that many of the colors do not print. Is there some way to rectify this problem without having to change the colors in my autocad drawing? Quote
CADMASTER1128 Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 You are using AutoCAD 2004, correct? Set all your layers to plot as thin. Full saturation with newer versions. Quote
nukecad Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 Cutepdf has a dialogue box for setting colours to line thickness, similar to an autocad .ctb, I havnt got it on this laptop but from memory its in the properties through the Start Menu > Printers. (Could be wrong it might be in the options when you plot to printer cutepdf; but Im sure you will find it now you know its there). Quote
Denny Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 I've been using this one for close to 4 years. No problems except to be able to open pdf's you need to install the ghostwriter plugin which comes with instructions on the website. Gotta love open source programs. add the http: sourceforge.net/projects/pdfcreator/ Quote
