chelsea1307 Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 my office has a set of bmps for everyones toolbars. I just tried loading our custom cui on the new guys comp. It loads fine except its not finding the bmps so instead of icons representing what the button does he has clouds with question marks, right now he has to hover over them to see what the macro/definition is. The bmps are in a folder that is set to be searched by autocad but they are not coming through, any idea's as to why? We also had this problem when i started here and i had to create a whole new cui just for me for my computer, now i know how to do this but that took me quite a while and i would rather not repeat again if possible. (i also tried this one on his and got the same result) Quote
ReMark Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 Are the custom images (saved as BMP files) stored locally or are the network? What version of AutoCAD is the new guy running? Quote
chelsea1307 Posted August 20, 2009 Author Posted August 20, 2009 The bmps were on the network but I copied them to his computer, the cui files are on the network, he's running 2009, so is the rest of the office Quote
chelsea1307 Posted August 20, 2009 Author Posted August 20, 2009 no, still got the question mark bubbles. Im out of the office tomorrow and he is monday so monday I will be messing with it until I get it to work, with the amount of time i have spent on here I have become the "make my autocad work" person. Fortunately he is new to autocad so doesnt have any personalizations already done that i have to worry about screwing up. should the cui be on his computer or should it work from the network? everyone else has it locally on thier computer. ReMark Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 On his computer in the folder with his customized cui file seems to make the most sense. Quote
chelsea1307 Posted August 20, 2009 Author Posted August 20, 2009 will try that, hopefully it works. Quote
