This is a problem thats been bugging me for a while and Im curious if there is a solution. Sometimes we will have leaders, text, or blocks with attributes that are placed on top of a viewport in paperspace. When you go to edit them by double clicking, it sometimes makes the viewport active. This seems like it happens in some drawings, but not others. We have a few drawings where double clicking text thats on top of a viewport results in bringing up the edit mtext/leader box. I would like to be able to do this on all drawings - is there a system variable for this?

I have not found a system variable for it, my guess is that it's simply how accurate you place your mouse when double-clicking, if it completely hits the text, you get MText edit - if it falls slightly outside, you activate the Viewport.

I have learnt to use the command DDEDIT (typed in the commandline) to edit stuff in the case they are on top of a vewport.
