malevy Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 I have taken basic and arch content training from vizmasters brian smith.. well worth the money just use something like camtasia to record it and you can watch it over and over.. he is one of the best in the industry to learn from and a fantastic instructor .. he also has some new books out on 3ds max and architectural content .. the advanced book just started shipping this week. I wish the college would offer some classes but so far the only thing they have is sketchup pro with vray which i am going to take in the fall. Quote
dpendleton Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 I am planning on taking this course myself, I would like to know how you like it? I hope to hear all about this school from you. Quote

Been really busy and haven't been on here much....but the class is awesome. Everything is through webcast...and your asignments are prerecored videos on their site that you complete before the webcast takes place. Durning the Webcast you go over everyone's project and the instructor answers questions or shows you what you've done wrong. There are 4 projects and you have 4 weeks to complete each project...well five projects including the foundation class which teaches you how to do the architectrual renders. The next project is a logo design and animation, followed by a Car, then a Character model and animation, and finally a Chair. I just finished the car and started in the Character animation. Great Class and the instructors are very tallented in 3Ds and Maya. Here is their website http://www.3dtraining.com/ I will try and post up some pics David Quote
NuttZ Posted October 31, 2008 Author Posted October 31, 2008 Here is my car I modeled...didn't get quite finished before I had to turn it in but I am going to continue to finish it. Everything was modeled and renderd in max with mental ray. David Quote
