Fire Alarm Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 I am creating a DVR for a CCTV system that I am designing, and need to move some object along an arc. Does anyone know of a command that will allow me to do so. This would save a lot of time. Thanks Quote
Fire Alarm Posted August 31, 2009 Author Posted August 31, 2009 I tried array. That was my first inclination to use. It did not work. Quote
Coosbaylumber Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 I use the old fashioned ROTATE. Use the curve center for the rotation point, then encapsulate and rotate along that curve. Long as you do not have a multiline or P-line with different radaii, it works. Rotate lines or text in to position then. Wm. Quote
Fire Alarm Posted August 31, 2009 Author Posted August 31, 2009 Can't use rotate either, because the arcs are different sizes. Tried that one to. It would work, but I need to do it over and over. Quote
Tiger Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 so we're talking several different objects along several different arcs? If there is no common element between them, I can't figure out an easier way to do it besides ROTATE. For some more ideas, I recommend you post some screenshots and/or a better explanation on what you want to accomplish. Quote
tzframpton Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 What about something that works like this? http://www.cadtutor.net/forum/showthread.php?t=37646 Quote

Ohh sorry you want to move objects, not place them Quote

For when I read initial quiery is mentioned ONE curve, not multiple ones, like on a polyline. I have done this via older methods, but it involves cutting out a section of some multi-curved polyline, into an exact length. Between here and here this is the text I wanna use.... Next thing may find out is that is wrong text font, or size. Wm. Quote
