Autocad PDF

Hi,

A few months back i saw an PDF file from autocad that had some basic functions like turning on/off the layers.

How can you make such PDF files?

Is this an Acad 2010 function only? Or were we able to do that in earlier versions?

Well i saw an PDF file (on my pc, so with my own eyes) that had basic autocad functions and one i remember was enable or disabble layers (turning on/off), but there were more functions.

I dunno if i still have the file, and if i do i don't know where it is.

Since in autocad 2010 there are better PDF functions i thought that it might came from Acad2010 with some DWG to PDF export.

So i am looking on how to do that.

was it a screen shot on how to do this?

No, it really was an pdf file.. i'll try to find it...

Hmz, this looks like one (or thé one) file i was looking for. click... It has the layer on/off function (perhaps the only thing possible but still handy).

Oh, you have to download it i think (but it does show the layer function in-browser (on the left, button)). And i have Adobe Acrobat 8 professional, in case it doesn't show in the normal version).

i just had a look at it. im not sure if this is just a 2010 function or its the actual PDF itself that has the functions. i know that 2009 doesnt have that option, so i would say its most probably 2010. its just an educated guess though :)

Perhaps some one else know how to do it, so i'll just wait for the 'answer man'..

oh man, this is too good to be true:)!!

does anybody know if you can do this in cad07??

From my understanding, it sounds like that the pdf file the OP mentioned was created using PUBLISH (to a pdf file, and not a dwf file). Within the PUBLISH command, there is the facility (using the PUBLISHOPTIONS button) to include layer and block information

looks like you need adobe professional to do this....:(
