GmoCAD Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 How to I set an inserted raster image ( aerial photo ) to scale so I can draw on top of it with measurements? Thanks for your wise knowlegde Quote
rkmcswain Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 If the raster has an associated world file or embedded information, AND you have the right tools (AutoCAD Map, Raster Design, other 3rd party tools), then you can import the image into the correct location and at the correct scale. Otherwise, you'll have to find some common points in your drawing and on the image and scale as needed. Vanilla AutoCAD does not include the ability to spatially locate images. lpseifert Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 If you know at least two common points on the dwg and the image, you can use the Align command, or the Scale command using the Reference option. Quote
