Circle issue in 2004 and 2009 AutoCAD

I am currently trying to finish a floor plan in autocad using both 2004 and 2009 and when I close either file my circles and arcs change to a hexagonal shape. What can I change or am I doing to fix this? Need help really quickly as it is due to go in a final design portfolio.

Well, you could "regen" and it should fix the circle problem. It's only like that in the display - Plots would look normal.

You could also check your Arc and Circle smoothness in the display options. Mine is at 1000 and I have never changed it.

Thank you for the reply. I did the regin and made no difference. Where do I go to change the smoothness?

Try Regenall. You might want to bump the Viewres up some also.

Did the regenall, still no difference. I am selecting the drawing and then placing into Illustrator, where I need to add a stroke to some of the line weights to make them stand out. When I do this the column circles and the arcs for the door swings are still in the funny looking hex's/ I also went into the display options and changed the display for arcs and circles to 1000. No differences.

Any other suggestions?

Check your "Viewres" setting, It will ask if you want fasrt zooms (I respond yes) then set it to 5000

Sorry I see lpseifert did mention that

Regen will fix your viewing problem.

Have fun.
