Query on Inventor Studio

Hi All,

Its me again, for the past few months I've been using AI and quite enjoyed using it as a tool for creating 3D Parts. Now, i was trying out the animation following from the Autodesk link STUDIO. My query is, how do I save the animation that I have created.

When I was clicking the record button on the Timeline I thought that I could actually record the animation between the Camera setup. When I tried playing the saved AVI, what I was seeing is just the image of the assembly.

Could anybody help me on this. How do I record the animation.

Thanks,

at the end of the animation there is a little save(disk) in the top corner. this saves the last rendered image.

on the top bar you have(starting from left) Render Image, View Last, Render Animation...

Render Animation will bring up a dialog box with 3 tabs on it. The first tab lets you change things like lighting, scene etc. Or you can leave them as (Current) which will render with your current settings. The next tab over is output, this lets you choose the range(0-30s is standard if you have not exceeded that). Also there is a Format box with two buttons in it. One button is Movie format, The other is image sequence format. Make sure you are on the movie format.

When you click the render button it will pop up another box to choose your file location. It automatically puts it in the current project folder but you can change this. In older versions ive had trouble with these types of things when not locating them in the project folder fyi. Here you can also choose your format. I usually render them as .avi files. Once you click save it should begin the render process.

Also the Record button on your animation timeline should bring up the same thing.

Hi,

I have created an animation and the duration is 30 secs with around 20 segments. Meaning the camera and 20 moving parts. While I was rendering it suddenly stop at 4.5 secs. I have no idea what had happen.

Previously, before I incorporated the 20 segments into the camera, the animation of the camera is working fine then I added 3 segments still working fine. But, when I incorporated the remaining segments the problem occurs.

Any inputs on this?

change some of the settings like the frames/sec before you render and see if there is an issue. Will the animation play on the timeline and just not render? or does it lock up on the timeline as well?

Make sure the Production is not checked. Sometimes this get turned on by accident if you are not using Video Producer and will cause an error like this.

@Matt - to answer your question.

1. I have shange the frames/sec.

2. The animation did play and render and the animation stop @4.5 secs. but

continue to render.

3. Playing the animation on the timeline alone is ok, without rendering the

animation.

@Mark - I have verified it and yes you are right the Video Production is active and I have de-activated it.

Now, my problem was solve after implicating what was mentioned by the two gentleman.

Thanks guys...8)
