luluphooey Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 my client has files in autocad 2009 lt...how does he save them back to 2005? Quote
Tankman Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Click on the down arrow and save as any version required; i.e.: 2005. I usually save as version 2000, and never a problem. Same goes for posting *.dwg files here, not all have '09 or '10 so we can't view the attached *.dwg file. Most all can view AutoCAD 2000 files. Quote
Cad64 Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Click on the down arrow and save as any version required; i.e.: 2005. There is no 2005 format. Available dwg Formats 2010 2007 2004 2000 R14 Quote
Tankman Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 There is no 2005 format. Available dwg Formats 2010 2007 2004 2000 R14 Sorry, I always save to 2000 at the request of my clients. I have the default save as set to version 2000 just to make it easy on myself. This is on three desktops and four Thinkpad™ laptops, small company. I don't "do" 3D, only 2D is necessary for the plumbing work I do. Quote
ReMark Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 I think the CAD drawing viewer program CADwizz has the ability to save in any one of the previous file formats. Quote
ReMark Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 See item 3 of the Features List. http://www.cadwizz.com/cadview.htm The program is relatively inexpensive as viewing/redlining programs go. Quote
nukecad Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 DwgTrueView, free from the Autodesk website can save/convert any Autocad version to any other. So if you only have 2000 or 2002 you can use Dwgtrueview to access any other format up to 2010 and convert it to what you need. Quote
