Jrose
Hello everyone, Does anyone know how to create a countersink on an existing hole. I have a solid piece that has two exsiting holes and i need them to be countersinked. It wont do it. I used extrude and press and pull and it wont work. Is there a way on doing it. Please advice
ReMark
One way would be to use the CHAMFER command. Pay close attention to the command line prompts.
ReMark
We are talking countersunk and not counterbored right?

ReMark
Then I stand by my advice. This is what you're apt to see at the command line: Command: chamfer (TRIM mode) Current chamfer Dist1 = 0.0000, Dist2 = 0.0000 Select first line or [undo/Polyline/Distance/Angle/Trim/mEthod/Multiple]: Base surface selection... Enter surface selection option [Next/OK (current)] : Specify base surface chamfer distance: .02 Specify other surface chamfer distance : Select an edge or [Loop]: Select an edge or [Loop]:
Patrick Hughes
Another option is to create a cone and subtract it from the solid body. The way I have always done it is I draw a circle to the c'sink dia. then extrude using the taper option then subtract.
