I am trying to convert a textline into seperate charakters in order to select one or more separate charakters for the TXTEXP tool

 

has anyone a tip to follow, best regards joni:)

Hi Lee, thank you for sending this link and have executed the lisp code.

I am relieved to see it is possible to break up the textline in to (in your case into 2 parts)

It also does the folowing

  1. the tekstline splits on the selected charakter
  2. the selected charakter is duplicated in both te parts
  3. the right textpart is moved to the left

what I am looking for to spit up the text completely into separate charakters and they have to remain ontheir original position

a way to reach this goal is to

  • disable the duplicating effect(2)
  • disable the move effect (3)

so i try to understand the code and alter it

Anny tip where to begin?
