BillB Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 Hello Again, Anybody ever have a problem with the visibility of a certain component in there drawing? What I have is a step (.stp) file of a small hydraulic motor that was made into a .ipt file. It shows up in the assembly just fine, but when I went to make a .idw drawing that particular component (hyd. motor) is not visible. Anybody ever have this happen Thanks in advance BillB Quote
MarkFlayler Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 A couple things could be causing this. You might have the component set to Reference and when you place your views there are options not to show Reference components (Model State Tab of the Base View command). The other thing it could be is if your stp file imported as a composite surface and not a base solid then it will not show up until you turn on all surfaces in your drawing browser (Right click on your Assembly in your Drawing Browser and select the Include All Surfaces option). BillB Posted September 22, 2009 Author Posted September 22, 2009 O.k. Guys,,, I figured it out ,,, I think. If you run into the same problem at least check this out: 1. Go to your Model Tree of your DRAWING (.idw) 2. Find your ASSEMBLY (.iam) of that drawing view. 3. Find the component in the assembly that is NOT showing up. 4. Make sure that "Include All Surfaces" is checked. Hope this helps BillB Quote
