Have a situation where i am creating templates and standards for a sister company. I am using 2008 and they are using 2008 LT. I have been trying to fine a list of limitations of LT.

What i need is to find out if LT supports Datalinks or a comparison between the full version and LT.

Your help is greatly appreciated and not over looked!!

Using Google type this in for your search criteria exactly as shown.

"AutoCAD 2008 vs AutoCAD LT 2008"

Click on the link for a Comparison Matrix offered by cad.amsystems.com. It will be in PDF format.

So i noticed it says Dynamic Blocks. I didnt think LT could create blocks? Or is it that LT can utilize Dynamic Blocks?

What says Dynamic Blocks? The matrix?

Yes. Both versions, full and LT, can create blocks. Dynamic Blocks are blocks on steroids.

So LT can create Dynamic Blocks?!!

According to the matrix I pointed you to the answer appears to be yes. I don't use AutoCAD LT.

Well thats what i gathered from the matrix as well. I dont use it either, but the people that i am creating these templates for are saying that they cant create dynamic blocks. I might have to have a chat with them and find out.

Thanks for all your help!

You're entirely welcomed KnoJa31. Seems we both learned something new regarding LT and Dynamic Blocks.
