Anyone Use Flexible Hose/Tubing?

I was just starting to play with this a bit last night and was wondering if anyone was using it. I created a simple hydraulic cylinder assembly with rubber flexible hosing that was supposed to flex as the cylinder moved. I didnt get to play with it long but everything was working fine when it was adaptive. I would move the cylinder around its pivot and the splines would stay with it but this was lengthening the hoses and not flexing them. I went into iProperties and changed the hoses to Flexible and not Adaptive and tried a few other things but they dont stay with the cylinder any more. I tried adding constraints at the cylinder but then it would "pick up" the other end of the hose. constraints on that end would produce errors.:D

The hose paths were created in the routing wizard. Do I need to maybe create 3d sketches using Projected geometry so things stay linked?

Any insight on the procedure would be great. Thanks

I guess no one out there uses it? I still am unable to get the flexible hose working. Adaptive works just fine but again i would like to enter a length hose, some control points and have them flex with the cylinder movement.

I think I might start again with a more simple example and see if I can get anywhere.

We bought the simulation package, I have only played with the tube part on a demo, looks quite good :)

ive been playing with the tubing off/on and still cant seem to get it to behave as I want. Still get the same results of the hose changing length depending on the components but not "flexing".

ive used it just a little when designing a new chassi for my pc :P

Watercooled system.

Well.. i had kinda same problems too, its not very very moveable sometimes. i guess it might be an user error from me, but its hard to get it right i think?

I still havent been able to figure it out but i havent put much time into it since this post. Its getting close to the point where I will need it though so I hope to figure it out soon:)
