Hmm.. Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 Hello everyone! I have been trying to find out how can i program Autodesk Robot Structural software. I haven't found any guides or examples. Can this been done by LISP? Regards Quote
ReMark Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 From the AutoDesk website: Open and Flexible API "Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis Professional uses Microsoft COM (Component Object Model) technologies, enabling an open and flexible API (application programming interface)." Does that at least provide a clue? Quote
Hmm.. Posted September 25, 2009 Author Posted September 25, 2009 Right, but where can I get this information how to do it, what programming language is used, some code examples and guide lines, tutorials etc.? I really can't find anything! Quote

Hmm.. Posted September 25, 2009 Author Posted September 25, 2009 In my region there are not such at the moment. There is lots of information about Revit API, with tutorials, examples, code examples... It would be awesome to have some about Robot! Quote
ReMark Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 COM (Component Object Model) technology: http://www.codeproject.com/KB/COM/comintro.aspx Quote
Hmm.. Posted September 27, 2009 Author Posted September 27, 2009 Thank you! I also want to let every one know, that help files and tutorials regarding to API are stored in installation CD. There are also some examples, and it is not possible to program with LISP, only with VB, C++ or C# as far as I understand. Regards. Quote
ReMark Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 Thanks for the update and the additional information. Good luck with your programming efforts. Quote
Hmm.. Posted September 27, 2009 Author Posted September 27, 2009 Thank you! I'll sure need that . I know just a little bit in VB, and completely nothing in C#, but I was told that C# is a better language, so I'll try to do something in it. I just hope it will not take too much time for first "HelloWorld" sample successfully run in Robot! Quote
