I am Superhatching a block into a rectangle. I specify the insertion point then type 1 for x scale factor and 1 for y scale factor. Angle 0. The problem is that the block gets postioned way outside the rectangle, which is not correct. I have been trying to figure this out for hours now.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Could it be that when the block was constructed the insertion point was not on the block itself? Maybe it is set to 0,0.

How do I check that? It worked on another superhatch.

"It"? The same block or a different one?

And how are you specifying the insertion point? Picking it or typing in coordinates?

Two possible reasons for an insertion point to be off are wrong object snap and changing units.

One possible solution. Open the block drawing itself and set the INSBASE variable to the desired position. Save it. Open drawing with rectangle in it and try the SuperHatch command again.

Getting late. Gotta go. Been up since 3 a.m.
