I have created a list of availible commands and there functions in a PDF document and I would like to add it to the CUI pull down menu I created so that is anyone that is using the pull down menu has trouble figureing out how to use a command they can click the Help button in the menu and it will open the document I created... Is this possible? How would I do it if it is possible?

I am tiered of people coming to me asking how "This Command" works. I want to just say... Did you read the help document?... I don't like to have to answer the same question over and over until they remember!

Print out a dozen or so copies of it. Next time someone comes to you and asks, grab one, highlight the command they are inquiring about, hand it over, and say nothing.

Once that happens a few times, people will start refering to your document. If they are not using the F1 help button, what makes you think they will click on the new help selection you are creating?

We are all guilty of asking rather than figuing it out for ourselves sometimes. Probably partially for the human contact involved. I usually find that no matter how long I look for an answer, I find a simple solution on my own about 30 seconds after I post the question here.

Well the F1 button does them no good in this case because none of the commands I have created are in that help file. Everyone in the office has a copy of the document I want to use as the help file, however none of them seem to want to keep it. It gets trashed after a while and thats when the questions start coming.

How about this?

I have created a drawing (.dwg) that contains the help file I created. Is there a way to use the Macro line within a button to open this drawing?

I tried:

^C^C_OPEN "W:\AutoCAD\PGE_CUI\AQs_Custom_LISP_File.dwg"

but this did not work. Anyone know if there is a way to write a macro to do this?
