LauKwokFai Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 We often have to do planning for shopping malls, we have to draw a lot of polygons represent different shops, then we also have to put a text showing the area of each polygon. When we change the shape/size of the polygon, we have to check the area again. Since shops are attached to each, one little change may affect a few shops and we have to revise the area of all affected shops. Is it possible to write a lisp to make the text and polygon link together, so that when the shape/size changed, the text(area) would change as well. Thanks !! Quote
rkmcswain Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 You don't need a lisp, just create a FIELD and choose Object, then select the polyline. When the polyline is changed, the field will update (subject to the settings of FIELDEVAL) Quote
