Properties Box - unable to move etc

Hello - My properties box was docked on the right and auto-hidden. I don't know how this happened, but it changed to be stationary and lower on the screen.

 

Right clicking on the box gives the option of close and undo only - no autohide.

 

The box cannot be moved or resized, nor does it have the dark bar at the top to drag it around.

 

Is there a way to return it to normal?

type LOCKUI at the command line, set it to 0. This will unlock everything so you can move things around. Also, this command is in the menu under Window > Lock Location... and that gives you some options as well.

If at any point you want to temporarily over-ride the settings of LOCKCUI so you can move 'things' around, simply hold down the CTRL key and carry on moving as you would normally.
