DougP73 Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 I have AutoCAD 2004 and am trying to display lines/symbols from one layer over a solid hatch/fill on a different layer. If I'm in modelspace, the solid hatch/fill covers the symbols/lines, but, if I do a print preview, some of the symbols and lines are visible "through" the hatch. How can I get all the symbols/lines to be visible? Appreciate any feedback. Doug Quote
alanjt Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 Use Draworder and set the objects above/behind the hatch. Quote
DougP73 Posted October 11, 2009 Author Posted October 11, 2009 Is there a way to select a whole layer to set all the objects on that layer above or behind the hatch as opposed to picking every individual object? Quote

DougP73 Posted October 11, 2009 Author Posted October 11, 2009 Hey, thanks Alan. That worked perfectly. Qselect to select the layer and then draworder to select above or below. Quote

Tommy78 Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 Also don't forget to turn on "lines merge" instead of "lines overwrite" in the merge control option in graphics in plotter properties, if your hatch is a light greyscale your lines will show through when plotted wheter they are in front or behind the hatch like that.
