Losing my license file!

Ok.. here's a little background on my situation.. About a year ago we purchased all new computers along w AutoCAD 2008, got everything up and running for a few months, then AutoCAD 2009 was sent to us so we installed it. We have 2 computers w identical specs & hardware. Computer #1 operates perfectly fine.. no problems moving from 2008 to 2009. However, on our problematic Computer #2, 2009 only ran for a few days, then the HD went bad, so we replaced it. It originally came w a Western Digital & the company sent us a Seagate as its' replacement. Since the HD swap, we've had nothing but problems. Upon opening every session, we have to call AutoCAD to obtain an "activation code". Needless to say, this is time consuming & hinders productivity. What gives?? Are Seagate HDs prone to causing these issues?? Has anyone else had similar experiences?? Also, I am currently "corresponding" w an AutoCAD tech which means that I send him an email, then 3 days later he replies something like "uninstall & re-install AutoCAD".

Standalone. I loaded AutoCAD on to each computer using the same disc.

Check this out. There is a link contained within about licensing errors in regards to SATA hard drives. Maybe it applies to your situation.
