Does anyone know how to explode or "un-block" a non-uniformly scaled block?

I've tried wblocking it, opening it in a different year of ACAD, regular explode, block editor, and reinsterting it.

Any ideas?

gonne have to ask what happens when you explode it? 'Cause when I have non-uniformly scaled block, it's usually just made up of lines and circles and then it just explodes and it's all fine and dandy. What is the block made of?

Nothing happens when I try to explode it. It says it can't. In the "list" dialog box it says its not allowed to explode as well.

Its made up of polylines with assigned elevs. I am trying to make a surface out of it.

Change the setting on the EXPLMODE system variable to 1.

Already tried that, but either way, no luck.

Still won't explode the damn thing.

Are you sure that it is a block and not a group?

Try UNGROUP?

Start the block command, pick the block name, pick the allow exploding box, hit ok, pick redefine yes. Now explode

In the context menu of the block reference (or separately with the BEDIT command) run the block editor. In this editor, open the Properties window (Ctrl+1). In the lower part of this window (palette) locate the Block panel and the options "Scale uniformly" and "Allow exploding". You can switch these options to Yes and No. Remember to save changes when you exit the block editor.
