Hi all

I have many PLT files I tray to convert it by using express -> file tools -> convert PLT to DWG but it me this message ( see the attached)

that would imply that the plot file wasn't generated with an HPGL plotter driver. Not a lot to suggest. You could try sending the file to a plotter and scan the result, or get new plt files.

I suspect the .plt files were created using an unsupported driver

From Express Tools' help

PLT2DWG

Imports HPGL files into the current drawing session. All colors are retained.

Command: PLT2DWG Enter the plot file : Specify the file name or ~ for File dialog box Note:

PLT2DWG does not support Draftpro DXL and Draftpro EXL which are listed as options 6 and 7 in the Supported Models section under the Hewlett-Packard (HP-GL) ADI 4.2 - by Autodesk, Inc. device driver. Also, the default system printer and the HPGL/2 printer are not supported.

I think Turbocad had a filter that was arranged differently than that for Autocad. You could open up the .PLT file there, save it as a DWG then. But it would not permit you to plot upon first opening. (at the time we were using a plotter that only understood HP-GL2 language)

Simpliest was to go and open up autocad, import the same drawing seen in Turbocad and do what ever you need so within Autocad, including plot out.

Our only need to keep Turbocad around on the system was to filter and import drawings then.
