Layzie Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 Hi! I am new to this forums and having just a little trouble using the solidworks 2008. When I try to open a 2007 assembly, I get an error message that says " Missing Toolbox Size". The error message states " The Toolbox component (SBHCSCREW 0.25-28x0.875-HX-N) referenced by this assembly was not found. Would you like Toolbox to automatically create the missing size?" When I click "yes", Toolbox starts to create the missing toolbox sizes, but then I get an error message saying " Error: The toolbox part file 'C:\Program Files\Solidworks\browswer\Ansi Inch\Bolts and Screws\Socket Button Head Cap Screw_AI.SLDPRT' is currently being modified by another user. Please try again in a few moments". The end result is, the missing sizes are not created. I am not modifying that file and it is not open anywhere else. Anyone else encounter this problem or know how to fix it? Quote
0spike0100 Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 my school is having the same problem the only way around it so far has been to save the part somewhere else this can be done by right clicking on the part in the toolbox browser (may need to turn it on its an add-in)(i forget what the name of the action is called in this menu is obvious though) and then after saving it somewhere else you can insert it into the assembly OR you can on the same menu opened by right clicking on part you want again in the toolbox browser select insert into assembly and it will auto place at origin but you can still set size and then move the this part unfortunately this way dose not seem to work when you save and reopen the file for me it may for you i do not know... hope this helps but you can always just reinstall the software too.....
