Braveheart2009 Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 Hi, I am trying to find out how I can adjust the sizes on my objects for the correct sizes as somehow there are wrong sizes. Please give step to step instructions. Apologies if this type of post has been posted before. I am trying to adjust the width of this box to 2500 & the Length to 2800 as its currently 2507 and 2950 somehow? Please pm me with details on if picture required. I am new on this post so I cannot post links till 9 posts? Quote
ScribbleJ Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 Type in the command rectangle then click in the screen where you want the first point of the box then enter D for (dimension). You will then be prompted for the length and the width of the box. Input the necessary data and then move/rotate etc. the box to where you want it to be. Quote
Braveheart2009 Posted October 23, 2009 Author Posted October 23, 2009 Really appreciate the help. I don't want to reduce the width just the length its hard to describe as you will need a picture I emailed you hotmail. Quote
ScribbleJ Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 Glad to help. You can also use the stretch command to resize the box as well. Once in the command and you have selected the side you want to resize, type in relative coordinates using the @ symbol. (i.e. @4,5) where 4 is the x axis and 5 is the y axis. You may have to use negative numbers to get the results you need. Have a good weekend. Time to go get my son and enjoy his company. Quote
ReMark Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 Stretch, as mentioned, is one way. Keep in mind that an object can be stretched larger or smaller. In one axis you'll want to decrease the size by 7 (the difference between 2507 and 2500) and in the other axis you'll want to decrease the size by 150 (the difference between 2950 and 2800). I see no one has asked, and you haven't volunteered, but is the object a block? Blocks cannot be stretched per se but they can be inserted with different scales for the X, Y and Z axis. In your case then you would have scale factors of 0.9972 (2500 divided by 2507) and 0.9492 (2800 divided by 2950). Quote
