xspacex Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 Hello Everyone, I am having an issue with block icons/images in design center, as well as the block Definition Dialog Box. After creating several blocks in AutoCAD 2010, I realized that when I try to access the blocks through Design Center, it will not have a thumbnail image, it will only have a white background. Also, when I use the block command, and then select a previously created block name, the icon on the right hand side will be white, and not have the symbol displayed in it, exactly what diplays in design center. I have attached two images for clarification I tried refresh in the design center, and I also tried blockicon command. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks! Quote
Cadologist Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 You can try the 'BLOCKICON' command, basically you open the drawing that contains all the blocks and run the command. It creates the thumbnail images. You can give that a shot, keep me posted. Quote
xspacex Posted October 26, 2009 Author Posted October 26, 2009 Hi, I have tried the blockicon command and that didn't work Any other suggestions? Thanks Quote
Wile E Coyote Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 I haven't had quite the same problem but I have had the view pane of the design center displaying out of date icons for blocks I know I've changed but that was corrected by right-clicking in the pane and picking refresh from the list. In the bad old days a .cdc file was created that you could delete and start afresh, the downside being there were .cdc files scattered all over the place. Quote
