lilgabbymac Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 I am using AutoCAD Architecture 2010. I have created a grid with bubble in it's own "grid" file, I then xref that file into my needed drawings. The Number in the Grid Bubble does not show in paper space, but it shows in model space. Besides deleting the number/block and replacing it with plain old text any ideas on how to get the number to show on my sheets? thanx for any sugestions. LIL Quote
CarlB Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 -Perhaps the "number" attribute is on a separate layer, which is frozen in that particular PS viewport. -Some annotative blocks show only in viewports of scales you set for the block-but I don't think that would apply to just a portion of the block... One of the first things i checke was to see if the number was no a different layer. that wasn't the problem... but it was a good thought though. I jumped from 2006-2010 so how do i check and change the scale of a block? Quote
CarlB Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 hmmmm, not sure, maybe in the Properties box, is there an "annotative scales" property? Quote
Cadologist Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 I am not 100% if this is the case but worth a quick check...... I haven't used much for annotative text within blocks, might not even be possible but whatever, see below.... If the text within the block was an 'annotative' style, then when you place that block, in modelspace, and go into paperspace and do not see the text, it could be because the viewport scale doesn't match a pre-set annotative scale on that text, within the block. Check to see if the text in that block is 'annotative'. Open the main block drawing and see, if it is, simply switch it to a different 'non-annotative' text style and save it, then reinsert it into the drawing and see if that makes a difference. Quote
