mknabster Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 Which is the better CAD program, AutoCad Inventor or Solidworks? I go to PSU, and they are making the move towards more Solidworks than Inventor. What does the industry use more? Quote
kencaz Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 Inventor hands down for me... I have used both and Inventor is just better. Plus I am an AutoCad user and the integration for the DWG format and Inventor far exceeds SW. KC Quote
elkboy Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 Asking which is better is sort of like asking which color is best. Aim for where you want to get a job... For example, if you want to work in the heavy equipment industries (e.q. Caterpillar, John Deere, etc.), Pro/E is required. If you want to work in Architecture... AutoDesk is king. Ask around for which packages are most popular in your field (or proposed field)! -Brian Quote
