seekn_destroy Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 Hello, this is my first post in this forum Is there a way to insert two visibility-parameters in a dynamic block? For example, if you have a tablegroup with 4 chairs and you would like to hide chair by chair! I use ACAD LT 2010 Quote
ReMark Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 Check Visibility State in your AutoCAD Help file. Quote
ReMark Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 From AutoCAD 2009 Help file. "You can use visibility states to make geometry visible or invisible in a dynamic block. One block can have any number of visibility states." Quote
seekn_destroy Posted November 4, 2009 Author Posted November 4, 2009 I have read this, but in my case there will be a lot states. Would be easier with one more visibility parameter. I found this in help file "You add only one visibility parameter to a dynamic block definition." If you add some flowers on the table and would like the ability to show/hide the flowers independent of the numbers of chairs! Quote
dbroada Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 there is no ootb way to create 2 visibility parameters. A couple of people have used look up tables to simulate more than one visibility parameter. One was mentioned within the last week. A quick search may find a link. Quote
ReMark Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 What if each chair were it's own block? You could have chair1, chair2, chair3 and chair4 each with it's own visibility parameter right? Quote
seekn_destroy Posted November 4, 2009 Author Posted November 4, 2009 Thank you all! ReMark your last reply fixed the problem! I think... I've only tested on a simple block... Hope to learn alot here Quote
seekn_destroy Posted November 4, 2009 Author Posted November 4, 2009 arrggh, to quick with my answer... I need the blocks in the main block, in this example the chairblocks have to be in the whole tablegroup... It seems you can't have dynamic blocks inserted in another one (and still have the ability to change all blocks...) Do you have a solution? Quote
dbroada Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 back to my previous reply. you either need a lot of visibility states or it can be simulated with a lookup table - but I've not tried it Quote
